You're probably working on being able to see at night...lol. The headlights on the C5 are not very good.
Good luck!

If it works then you'd have to figure out a way to hold the stalk lever back while doing your work/testing

I've also decided to go with the 35 watt high beams instead. 50 watt wasnt worth the extra money.
So any other opinions?

Standard 12v relay (1)
12-gauge wire (approx 10 to 12 feet) Different colors to keep track of everything. (black, red, green, and brown)
Fuse link (1)
T-taps (2)
Pan head connectors (4)
Once you take the shroud off from around the headlight you will see several wires leading to the headlights. Each light should have a black ground and either a green or brown wire. I can't remember if green is high or low, but it's pretty easy to see which is which.
Find a place to mount the relay. I used the bolts that holds the fog light bracket in place. Use the black wire and wire the ground connection on the realy to a good ground.
Use the red wire and run a fused link from the battery to either the positive terminal on the battery or to the aux. power point right by the battery to the constant hot terminal on the relay.
Now, the two remaining terminals on the relay are the switch and the output. Run one wire (green or brown, which ever wire runs to the low beams) to the output side of the relay. Use the pan head connectors to connect the wire to the relay and a T-tap to connect to the wire on the headlight.
Finally run one wire from the high beam wire to the switch terminal on the relay. Again, use the pan head connector on the relay and a T-tap on the headlight wire.
Now run all the wires out of the way and enjoy. I ran this setup for almost a year and didn't have a single problem.
Never know what people will do with their car.
