High oil pressure?
My 2000 coupe with 80k miles is reading 139 lbs of oil pressure...
( the gauge is pegged, DIC says 139)
yes, well maintained,
oil at correct level
Any clues?

That is the typical symptom of a dead oil pressure sending unit. Only solution that I know of is to have the defective sender replaced.

typical of bad sensor
to test, turn on the key without starting the engine, if it reads high oil P. without the engine turning then it is a bad sending unit. they are about $30 and a couple of hours to replace. don't sweat it and get a new intake at the same time (the labor is the same)

I can't say it is actualy under the manifold, it is toward the rear in the valley, but the manifold has to come off or some say slide forward enough to get to it. To slide it forward looks like you have to damn near take it off anyway.

Have you uncrossed your fingers now?
As long as you didn't over torque the sending unit or something like that, you have replaced your last sender.
