HVAC Conversion. . .
I pre-read nearly 100 HVAC posts, almost 200 A/C posts and only 1 pertained to the CONVERSION from a previous year to a newer model HVAC. Similar to this, I've got two Camaros and I would seriously consider (for function mostly/sure appearance is cool) conversion to the dual HVAC system most of you enjoy (not as much as I would have expected based on the posts). I see the typical unit alone for the dash is 200-300 and 50-150 to repair. How much equipment is actually required for everything? I tried searching NUMEROUS posts for pictures and I think the best was a vintage system. How much of my equipment could I maintain? Is it possible to simply use two to four fans controlled by the dash unit and continue using my own condenser and airbox equipment? This is the first/only site I've looked at for guidance. I love pictures by the way. That write-up by Ed Bon was GREAT for the shifter replacement. Thats the type of write-up I would love to see!!! Anyone removed the system and taken LOTS of pictures???
