Default Help with Warranty

I'm considering this warranty to buy for my 59000 miles 02 coupe.
The sales guy says this is similar to manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper. Though looking at the contract it is not an exclusionary warranty but it is inclusionary. Looking at it could you tell if anything important or major is missing (not covered). I've highlighted some conditions in Exclusions part. I know you guys have lot of experience, is there a part which can go bad at these many miles and not covered by this warranty.
Appreciate your time..
thanks.
farhan.

Warranty companies are tough. They sound good on paper and then when it comes time to file a claim they either blame it on "abuse" or "lack of maintenance." I would ask around for feedback from others who use them.

Over the years I hace heard many, many bad stories about many warranty companies. Numerous companies have gone out of business, refused to pay for services,in part/ total. I would do a do/diligence on the company you select before I paid my hard earned $. Discuss the matter with the garage you select to do your work. Check to see if they will accept your selection, and/or if they have any experience with them. Let the buyer beware !

Default Clutch on 6 speed

If the car is a 6 speed, it looks like the clutch and related parts aren't covered.

It looks like wear and tear items are not covered. These are piston rings and other items that wear as the car is used. The factory protection plans usually cover these as does the GMPP. Another thing about their contracts is the specifically say everything not listed in the small list of non-covered repairs is covered so do not need to get into the long list of items that may or may not be all inclusive.

Where are you purchasing the car? Is it from Carmax?

Bill:

GMPP covers wear and tear??

Here's "MajorGuard," their "most comprehensive coverage," and what's not covered (sound like wear an tear items):

Unless required in connection with the repair of a covered part, WE will not pay anything under this Agreement for engine tune-up, suspension alignment, wheel balancing, filters, lubricants, engine coolant, drive belts, radiator hoses, heater and vacuum hoses, windshield wiper blades, air conditioning recharging, fluids, spark/glow plugs and wires, brake pads and linings, brake shoes and rotors, manual clutch disc, or any maintenance service or part required to be performed or replaced as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer's Maintenance Schedule.

Additionally, neither rust damage nor any of the following parts as defined by the GM Parts Manual or services are covered under any circumstance: sheet metal, chassis frame, cross member, body rails, body panels, carpet, weather-strips, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, tires, trim, convertible or vinyl tops, moldings, bright metal, upholstery, paint, exhaust system, catalytic converter, hinges, brake drums, shock absorbers, batteries, carburetor, correction of air and water leaks, wind noise, odors, squeaks, rattles, contaminated fuel systems, bumpers, body parts, and glass.

Oh so true! Can't tell you how many owners have seen their after-market warranty companies go POOF! Most are you-pay-first and submit the bill for reimbursment. Then they tell you what they will pay. It's sort of like arguing with your health insurance provider?

GMPP is the best, but at 60K miles, it isn't going to be cheap if you can get it. In the past you could not renew an extended GMPP warranty. Today you can as long as your current GMPP warranty has not ended. No warranty covers parts that wear, which include clutches, associated clutch parts, paint, molding, hoses, etc.
