Help with gauge cluster...

How do I remove the black trim around the gauge cluster (the piece that covers the DIC buttons (reset, gauges, etc.) I purchased the Ultimate Dash Kit and need to remove that piece.

The first thing you have to do is remove the cluster from the vehicle. The trim is removed from the backside via a number of screws around the perimeter. Be very gentle when removing and reinstalling these screws, it is easy to twist of the plastic retainers... you'll see what I mean when you take it apart.

There is a Tech-Tip on how to remove the cluster above and it is much simpler than some of the older Corvettes. Follow it or get a factory service manual and you will find it not too difficult a job.
