Bad idea to store.

See the other thread for details.

I'll have put on 10,000 miles of happy motoring by the time you take your car out from hibernation.

If you can afford more than 1 car store it.
Driving a high horspower, wide tire, low clearance car can be tricky on snow and ice....
Because we pamper our cars so much... who wants to unecessarily take the chance.....

Oil change
Fuel stabilizer

Battery tender
Check Antifreeze
Cover

Think that's about it for me...

winter driving is horrible on or in Vettes. Handling and traction is bad , With gravel and salt.
and the Vettes low front, Hood and rockers and quarters ARE going to show major chips esp if your car is a dark color.Plan on a repaint after a couples winters, plus your windsheild will look like crap with the chips, bad idea. Can't see why a person would want to. Oh your storing. Smart very Smart. I like the list above
I was planning on this also. Mine might not make it out till spring.
When I get it out it will be like I put it away Purrrrrrrrfect.

If I could add one item.. Mouse traps set in the garage. Had one get in last year and chew on some carpet.

i drive around the block in the winter time evry weekend to keep everthing moving, you could store your car by lifting it up off the tires but thats bad in the long trim for your shocks and other parts. To prevent your tires from drying and cracking between the treads you have to spray something on them to keep them moist.( i've seen a lot of crack tires by storing them with the cars weight on them.

Default Winter storage

Disconnect the negative side of battery-no trickle charge. In spring reconnect and fire her up. Works every year for me.You dont losse your settings either.Watch out for mice!!!!.

I wouldn't drive it in the snow if you have another car to drive since Vettes make great sleds.
I had success storing cars with the quoted list (above) done to it. I also would just start the car every few weeks to get the juices flowing, and move it around even just a little to avoid flat spots on tires. You'll be fine.

OK...here's a dumb question. With twin fuel tanks and a crossover which runs between the tops of the tanks, how do you get the fuel stabalizer to mix up evenly between both tanks? If the driver's tank isn't full, it'll all go there. Otherwise, won't it all just overflow into the passenger tank? Things that make me go hmmm....

there must be an equalizer tube between the two tanks, otherwise if you only have one fill pipe how would the gas get to the other tank?

I winter store my 85 and my 01. As of last year, I use a float type of battery maintainer to keep the battery from going flat.

I have yet to have a problem firing up in the spring.

No dry seals, cracked tires or any of the other stuff people say will happen. I have to wonder if these people have ever stored a car over winter or are they just promoting a "myth".
