I saw a guy at the track one time with 96 CE\ZR1 style wheels on his C5. They were all 17's- I am not sure why he did all 4 that way- but nonetheless, they were on it...I also saw a guy with 17" black Grand Sport wheels (same a ZR1's) on the rear of a C5. They had track tires on them, fronts were normal thin spokes...maybe he wanted the gear change...
Many Track Cars (c-5/z06) Will Run 17 Inch C-4 Wheels. This Is Because 17 Inch Track Tires Are Alot Cheaper Than The 18 Inch. Also The 96 Grand Sport Rim Is Wider, So It Can Take A Wider Tire......jc
The bottom line is the C5 thin spoke wheels 17" will fit the c4 or the c5
right or wrong ??? 17" all the way around fits Ok?? Drives OK TOO???

You have to be careful of two things- one being the offset of the C5 wheel on a C4- they are not the same. I had a set of thin spokes on my C4 (all 17's) and the rears sat inboard a little...didn't look right so I got a spacer to fix it....1/4" I believe was what was needed.
On the C5- you must maintain a wheel diameter difference between the front and rear or the traction control will have a $hit fit...(hence the 17" front, and 18" rear) most people say that as long as you stay within 3% of the normal diameter (front to rear) you will be OK. A lot of guys run 18's on all 4 corners but like a 35 in the front and a 40 in the rear...
