move while in GEAR!!! 
this is nuts. No one can answer this question. My BPP will go into a gear and then move laterally. BPP can't explain it and they won't warranty it. I can't find my stock shifter to see if it does it as well, but good grief, is that even possible? Would that mean a problem with the linkage going to the tranny? I hate to buy a shifter and then it turns out to be the linkage! Anyone have any ideas?
