Did you give it she had? If so, he was moded already, so do not feel bad. Get him at the track where all is equal then see what happens.

Just finished getting blown away by a are you ready for this a Charger SRT-8. Now I have close to 400 RWHP. AFR heads and Lunati cam. Plus a whole wack of other stuff. This guy just came up beside me at the lights and that was the end of the vette this car pulled so hard that I thought I was over reving. A cloud of smoke erupted and this black car was gone. I caught up to him at the next light and he just was grining. Are these cars as good as they appear or was this some kinda joke.

go get some more mods and get back out there and find that srt-8

R-E-M-A-T-C-H ! if he was boosted that much, he should've had a really hard time hooking up on street tires to blow you away that badly....i think you were not ready or a bit too cocky thinkin you were gonna walk him

Why do people ask if he's a good driver? I see cars all the time that can pull away from a corvette during straight line racing. At the local track, there are cars that look like hell but still do the quarter in 11 secs. They don't turn worth a s**t though! Stock vs stock, there aren't many cars that can touch us. Once you enter the mod zone, all bets are off!

Did he pull away from you the entire way or just take you off the line? If so the driver needs to work on his reaction time, if not, Elmer Fud used to say; "I think i better get a bigger gun".

I had a guy in a black one press me getting on the interstate one time...I have headers\LS6 intake\Haltech Stinger\Z06 catback and lets just say that he was seeing nothing but taillights of a vette...no speeds broken, but @ 4000 lbs + those things are pigs and boxy....not that I don't dig the concept- but...it ain't a vette...I am with the guy who suggests you got sprayed...or it was blown and sprayed-

This happened to me. At the time I had a 285hp '96 Z-28 and I got my doors blown out by a V6 Mustang ( I could tell because no fog lights).
The guy just shot off ahead of me like a catapult.

He had to be modded or else he wouldn't have had the confidence to run you in the first place. It's like once when I was stopped at a light and a guy in a Grand National asked me if I wanted to race. I said "no, I won't street race and risk losing my license and besides if you're asking me, I'll bet your probably not stock." He then told me he runs low 11's on the bottle.
