Default Oil Pressure Sensor

I'm replacing my oil pressure sensor With a different brand. Has anyone had a failure on a Standard Motor products PS308?

I'm curious as well. I have heard of the Standard one. Mine just went bad again. This is the 2nd GM one that I have installed..

I changed mine out using the great pictures found on this site and I am not mechanically inclined. Used an original GM part. Don't over tighten!

I've had the PS-308 in mine for well over a year. No problems.
Check www.RockAuto.com that's where I got mine. HTH

All of mine were from GM, but I did notice that one had a copper base and the others were silver. I believe the one that was in the when I got it (dead) had the copper base, but I'm not 100% sure.

I plan on doing mine myself. Or Stangkiller (Chris) siad to "bring her over". "He could do in 2 hours."
I'm just try to figure out what else I can mod when doing this job.
Any ideas? I don't think a LS6 intake is worth the bucks.

A couple of things come to mind. Since the manifold has to come off (or at least come forward enough to get to the EOP sender), you might want to consider replacing the A.I.R. check valve that's next to the firewall. Sort of a preventative maintenance thing. No way to get to it without manifold removal. The other one, on the driver's side, is easy to get to any time you want.
The other thing is maybe to extend the length of the small 1/8" nylon vacuum line that plugs into the back of the manifold. Maybe add 3" or 4". You can get the rubber fittings as well as some extra line at the auto parts store. It will make it much easier to re-install the manifold without worrying about the line coming off.

Extending the small vacuum line was the best i could have done...after 2 gm oil senders went bad (1 in 1 day) i replaced it with a Standard PS-308 and ls-6 intake...been working now for about a month...trying to get the small line re-connected was the worse part of the job....
