Default Comp Cam Question

Does anybody run a Comp Cam instead of one of the Vendors cams, if so witch one , and what kind of results did you get. I'm just wondering if its worth buying one instead of one of the vendors cams because i can get a discount on one.
Thanks Steve

Most of the vendor cams are comp cams. What application are you looking for?

I run a custom ground 224 compcam. Before the supercharger, I had kooks 1 7/8" headers, Vararam, the B&B's, compcams 1.75 promagnum rockers, and a dyno tune. I put down 402rwhp and 372rwtq. And the car only had 2200miles on the od. Not even broken in yet.. If you have any questions you have my number..

I know that most of the vendors use a variation of the comp cam. I can get a discount on a comp part# so i was wondering if they would be worth buying. Thanks Steve

Oh yeah, my buddy Vettenoob is also running a comp cam on his 99'. His is a 224/228 w/ 581 lift on a 114lsa. He has flp 1 3/4" headers, K&N intake, and Corsa exhaust. He made 377rwhp/362rwtq on the same dyno as me. He still needs to upgrade to an LS6 intake manifold..
