Default Park/Tail Lamps (Possible Switch Problem)

I have been having problems with my park/tail/dash lgts not coming on all the time with the switch;they do work on the twilight mode. The head lamps always come on even thought the dash/tail/park lgts don't. And then there were times when they worked as designed. Sometime they would work 20 out of 20 times; other times I would have to turn them on and off 5 or 6 times and then they would come on. Now they won't come on at all other than setting the twilight mode on the DIC. So I thought maybe I had blown a fuse, checked that out today and it looked alright.

Sure would appreicate someone that has had this problem or who can diagnoise it to get back to me. I don't know what to check next; even though I suspect the switch itself might be bad. If in fact it is can it be replaced without removing the steering wheel?
Thanks in advance for any ideas or help that you might be able to give me.

Bill

I had the same problem, only I had no fog lights either. Replaced the headlight switch yesterday and problem fixed. You can get the switch from GMPARTSDIRECT.COM. $116.00. Good Luck!

I have the European taillights soon after I started having that same problem. Talked to a performance shop and they said they have found the wiring harness to be the problem. When the fogs dont come on its usuallly the headlight switch. Having the harness replaced this week and will let you know if it cures the problem.

The switch is the most likely culprit in this mystery IMHO.
