Please post your impressions of the 885s. I just put the Silverstar low-beams on my car a few minutes ago... I'm looking forward to a drive tonight to see how much difference there is. I'm thinking the 885s are a good, inexpensive mod, too, if it makes any difference.
Walmart, the Automotive section of your grocery store will likley be the cheapest...
On my C4 I only use my fog lights in the city . the 885 are bright enough that I don't need to use the headlights....
Unfortunatley on my C5 my fogs don't run unless the healdights are on

Only your parking lights need to be on. Your headlights do not need to be on. Just turn the light switch on the 1st setting and your fogs will work.
Just finished..pretty tight I'll say..just got my arm thru there..
Crap..I may have touched the bulb when my arm was waaayy down there..but screw it
Only 8 bucks anyhow..
Looks brighter in the garage..I'll try 'em outside soon..
only took 20 minutes or so..my arm is so scratched..I'm hesitating on doing the low beams...
I did mine today and it *was* a bit tight, but not the worst thing I've ever attempted. When you first get the bezel off you loo and think "there's still no way I can reach the lo-beams." But once you stick your arm in there you can feel the plug and there's just enough room to twist it out and get the light off the plug. I found that the easiest way to get the new one back was to look through the headlight and try to see the blub as I was getting close to the hole.
The SilverStars are much whiter and easier on the eyes, but they don't do too much for throwing light way down the road. Still, I'd say it was worth the $30.
