Default FOB not programing, new owner please help

hello I just purchased a 1998 c5 last week and love it, but it did not came with any remotes, I got some from another car that ar gm and should work however when going trough the programing instructions you know options till blank screen, the hold reset for 2 seconds the press reset it will not change from FOB traning to press both buttons, was keyless entry not standard on all 98 c5's or it there a way to disable this option or something ? any help would be apprechiated , also the tire pressure sensors were not installed in the new rims, and it will not give me the option to procede past the tire pressure sensor screen to learn the new ones. any idea where thes modules are located ?

Do your Fob Frequency numbers match? all the numbers on the back of the FOB I believe need to match in order for you to reprogram them.

Same problem here! To the top! Someone has to know whats wrong. I'm thinking it may have to do with the tire pressure monitors. Only 3 of my wheels have the sensors so that may be the problem.

try holding it longer.. like 4 Sec. once it went to hold buttons I had to hold Fob 2 for 30 seconds. also not all remotes will work. you should have gm/lear 25695955 or 25695954 on the back of the fob. 954 has a big 1 on it and 955 has a big 2 on it. I have 3 955s programmed for my 01

So if I tried to program a 2000 FOB on a 99 it would not work?
