Hatch Release and trunk release related??
I had taken apart my center console to fix a shifting issue. When I put everything back my hatch release worked. The next morning, Wala! It doesn't work, and neither does the gas release door. So I took apart the whole assembly again and verified that the gas door release button was wired and the emergency brake wire was connected for the hatch release. I put it all back together and still its not working.
I checked all the fuses, replaced a bad cigarette lighter fuse but both are still not working. Having to use the manual way for each is rather difficult.
Is there any common item between the gas door release and the hatch release? I saw that there is a relay for the hatch release, but I do not know how to check it.
Any clues??
