Replacing front pads and they came with a "shim". It's a woven cloth in basically the shape of the pads. Never had one of these provided on different cars I've done pads on. Where does it go? Is there an "inside" and "outside", etc. Thanks in advance.
I just did my swap- my new ceramic pads had an adheasive pad so to speak that is applied to the rear of each new pad to eliminate sqeaks. Also make sure you use the slide lubricant as well...as for position, put them back on the same as you took them off basically...I raised the front and pulled both wheels to use one side as a guide- same goes for the rear...
also painted my calipers and brackets...all in all, not a bad job- but those caliper bolts are VERY tight! like 250ft\lbs...
