I wanted to see if someone could give me a general idea on how to lower my 98' C5 on the stock bolts? I'm mechanically inclined enough, I just don't want to trial and error, you know? I thought I've heard it's not too difficult, but can't find instructions anywhere. Thanks.
Go to the top of the main page for this site and click on tools, and then go to Tech Tips, go down the list How To's until you see something about lowering your C5, there is more than one How To on lowering and there are some great pics some of the guys have posted, this will surely make it easy to understand.
Well, I did the back and it was easy, no problem.....When I tried to do the front, the 10mm bolthead stripped when I applied force and now there's no bite to get on it.....Any suggestions? Thanks.

put a bottle jack under the SPRING jack up the spring only until the bolt no longer touches the lower control arm. the bolt should turn easily once you take the pressure off. good luck
