I have a leaking tranny on my 98 C5...Any ideas were it may be coming from...The pan gasket was determined to be ok...I have another on the way, but meanwhile have to stick to this one until the other one is upgraded..
Not sure but I think there is a seal from the output shaft on the trans to the rear end. If the leak is driping where the trans bolts to the rear end thats it.
If it were me, I'd raise it up, check everythoing you can one time and clean it up real good and come back a day or two later and see if you can isolate the leak........I dont' know, but it's worth a try, could be more minor then needing a new trani., you never know

GM came out with a redesigned out put shaft seal due to this problem. Enjoy the new trans..
