Default Removing Bushing Questions

I've had my vette lowered a few months on the stock bolts. But, once you start, you just can't go low enough. I took the rear bushings out today and cut them. I went to the front, but I dont understand how to remove the bushings there. The only thing I could think of doing was to go the opposite turn on the bolts and then the spring would pop up and out of the bolt. Is this the case? I didnt want to do all of that for nothing, and I need the front lower!

Try LS1howto.com .
The only way to get the bolts out to either cut the rubber/plastic bushings off or simply remove the bolts completely is to drop the lower control arm.
It's not hard, just takes time. Remove the wheel. Take the pressure off of the lower control arm by raising the spring with a floor jack. Remove two bolts that hold the bottom of the shock to the control arm. Disconnect the sway bar end link from the lower control arm. Unhook the wheel sensor wire. Support the control arm and remove the nut holding the lower ball joint to the spindle. Slowly lower c-arm and it should fall down giving you access to the adjustment bolt. Be careful and use lots of common sense!
LS1HowTo.com has all the torque specs for reasembly.
