Red line MTL shifts about the best I have seen. I use it in all my gearboxs. Truck 230,000 miles same fuild (tested -50 to 100 degrees) Shifts better than new. All cars that come in here for service work get Redline MTL.

I run RedLine MTL & Redline in the diff. as well and it shifted noticably smoother!
As a note, the owner's manual requires a fluid that meets Dexron III specs for the C5/Z06.
I have been using the AMSOIL ATF for the last two seasons. Still on my original stock tranny (no rebuilds) after four years of hard track use.
Are you running race tires and do you have a tranny cooler? As soon as I switched to race rubber, the tranny overheated and shuck the teeth on my synchros. Hopefully, my mistake was in running stock fluid. I'm having the tranny rebuilt now and I'll put synthetic fluid in it.

Rich,
I do run DOT legal race tires, normally either Kumho V710, Hoosier R3S04, or Goodyear GS-CS and I do have a tranny cooler. I ran my first driver's education event without a tranny cooler and got a tranny high temp warning after a few sessions. Had a tranny cooler installed as part of my SCCA T1 preps.
