Default Lowering question

I'm thinking of lowering my '02 Coupe (despite the fact that it scrapes quite a bit of stuff now). I just don't like the 4x4 look.

The big question I have is how do you make sure you maintain the proper front to rear rake when you lower it? Is it just trial and error?

I lower mine and left a difference of 3/4 of an inch,it handles fine if that helps you,my front is at 26 and my rear is at 26 .750. Don't forget to get it aligned, made a difference as far as tracking is concerned.

I adjusted the rear to expose 4 threads on the adjuster bolt and adjusted the fronts to expose 1 1/2 " of theads. That pretty well leveled everything out.

Took about 100 miles of driving to have it settle into the final position.
Think it's trial and error.

RaVolt,
Put as much fuel in the tank as you would have on average. For me is was about 1/2 tank. Big difference in rear height from a full to empty tank.
The correct way is to measure the heights at all 4 corners before you begin lowering the car. Write the measurements down and save them.
Lower the 2 front adjusters an equal amount side to side.
Lower the rear adjusters an equal amount side to side.
Let things settle for a few days of driving and measure again.
Try to get the front to rear height differences the same as the original factory differences. You will them have the correct rake.
Then if you want you can do like most of us do and that is to tweak the measurements a little to get the heights where you want them.
Key word is "a little".
Do not turn the height adjusters to a certain amount of threads showing. This is not the correct way to keep trim heights somewhat even.
