Default Upgrading F45 - Need advise

I've got a 2000 A4 vert with F45 suspension. I'd like to bump up the handling a bit and noticed that Fred Beans has Z51 sway bar kit for 142.00 and Z51 shocks for 204.00, full kits. 1) Good price? 2) Will the Z51 work with my car and will it be a noticable improvement? Going to lower it on stock bolts too. Thanks.

I upgraded my F-45 was Z06 sway bars, and it was one of the best mods I did. With the Z-51s, it could only get better. I didnt want to do the shocks.

Buy the ZO6 sway bars. The rear Z51 is the same size as the Z06. The front I believe are slightly different, Z06 is better I heard. Next, check out the new C6 Z06 shocks, $199.00 I heard they are really great.

That is the setup I would go with. Next down the road, buy the Z06 springs. That would finish it off.

Cheers!!

Default Shocks and bars

I have an 04 a4 vert and just put the Z06 sway bars and C6 Z06 shocks from Fred Beans. What a difference, couldn't be happier with the set up.

I guess that's my big question...and actually I have the FE1 not the F45...anyway, will the C6 Z51 sway bars and C6 Z51 shocks fit my 2000 A4? Beans has pretty good prices. Plus, if I lower the car on stock bolts will the shocks fit properly or should I go to Bilstein sports etc.? Thanks for all your input.

Shocks will fit just fine, just depends on what you want to go with. As far as the FE1, not sure what is involve or what it does to your car. Don't want to steer you in the wrong direction here.

Cheers!!

I just installed on my F45 c5 z06 sways and c5 z51 springs leaving the F45 shocks, the ride is great, I will be upgrading the shocks to F55 spec next.

the C6 sways/springs will not fit the C5 but the C6 shocks will, I would go with the C6 Z06.
