Help!!! Car will not start!!

Default Help!!! Car will not start!!

Here is the information:
2001 Z06
29,000 miles

It has been giving me the fuel sending unit code for awhile. My fuel gauge will read empty when there is a full tank of gas. I have put in several bottles of techron (one with each fill up) for about 4 tanks of gas. The problem will still occur. I will check the codes, reset the one for the sending unit, and my car goes back to normal.

The car drove fine Monday and Tuesday.

Today I try to start it and at first it does not turn over. I try again and it starts, but not very well. It glugs and sputters and the whole car shakes. It was idleing at like 250rpms, I gave it some gas, it finally starts idleing at about 1000rpms, but the engine is still shaking pretty bad. Then, while I'm out of the car, it shoots up to about 2000rpms, then back down to 250 or so, then finally dies. Now it won't turn over at all.

Only codes being thrown are these:
TCS C1221 H, C1222 H, C1248 H, C1291 H, C1292 H
BO-RFA U1064 H

PLEASE ADVISE!!!

What kind of shape is your battery in?
the codes are all history codes
Traction control, FOB receiver
nothing for power control.
many times bad grounds or battery going bad will caus all kinds of crazy things.
Check that first.

Sounds like the battery is toast.


Also, 14-14.5 a/f is quite lean, not rich. 13 is what tuners usually shoot for when tuning. Below that is rich, above that is lean.

Thanks for the Rich/lean clear up! I always get them confused.

I had it towed to the dealership. Hopefully they will treat me right and I'll have my car back tomorrow!

I'll report the problem when I get the car back.
