Have a 99 C5 FRC. As of a sudden I pick up a RF low tire pressure code that indicates 22psi cold and goes up to 24 when warm. Physically checked the tire pressure with a good gauge and find it @ 30psi. Remaining three wheels register correct to the gauge reading.
This a bad sensor,? Or is there some means to recalibrate the sensor. Any help appreciated.
I was having low readings for several months. Got oil change and the guy aired the tires to 32 and sensors magically read the correct pressure.......went home and with a good gauge took them all down to 29 which is where I like them... Sensors read the correct pressure now. I don't get it but that's the way it happened.
I'm thinking if you fill the tires to say 40, drive home, let air out and check with an accurate gauge at say 30... maybe the sensors will read correctly? Very weird...........
