Tranny not shifting.. WTF?????

Tranny not shifting.. WTF?????
My buddy just called. Said his car stopped shifting. It's not slipping but running right up and banging the limiter.. Said he had been getting a P0705 code the last few weeks.
The tranny not shifting just started this afternoon..
Any ideas??
Oh yeah,, I did ask him if he could shift it manually. He said he did not try it under WOT..
This sucks.. A bunch of us are heading to the ECS CC on saturday...

P0706 Transmission Range Switch Performance (A/T)
Check the weather seals and plugs by the tranny....If he has gone through a deep puddle or something...it could cause this to happen...Nevertheless...its something minor...

I was three quarts low last week.....I added a DR2 tranny seal and reconditioning additive and 2 quarts of tranny fluid....I had originally thought 3rd and 4th were gone.....the car would just whine out....I discovered I had a leak in one of the seals....and discovered that it had been leaking for a while know.....I finally had brought it to a friends shop....He topped it off with the additive and sealer....No leaks......no problems with the shifts
The car has to be on to add the fluid....fill until it starts dripping out.....Before you do this....go through all of the gears with the car running...then park....and add with a pump or??? Maake sure that the car is level when doing so....
