A lot of people bad mouth the LS2, but in my case it worked at least as well as the FAST LSX on my 422 stroker. I took a lot of time porting the LS2 as it has a lot of mismatched surfaces due to a different manufacturing process. I changed it in favor of the LSX/90 to see if there was more power available. I do not have dyno comparison, but the car ran the same quarter mile trap speed with either manifold... I used the LS2 T/B on both manifolds.
As to your question, I think the unported LS2 would be very close to the LS6 in performance.
