Default Mods for piston slap engine okay?

I've got an '02 model with 16,000 miles that has the dreaded piston slap. No oil consumption problem and noise goes away after warm up.....Just wondering if anyone has done a head and cam or supercharger install with the same issues as mine. I'm not crazy about tearing into the rotating assembly since it runs good but would like a tad more power.
Thanks,
Dan

As I understand it...a little piston slap on warm up is not really a problem. I just confirmed that my 2003 Coupe with 49K has piston slap when started cold. I have no oil consumption or any other problems.

40 year experienced Vette tech and two other dealer techs explained that it isn't a real problem. They really had no motive to tell me anything other than the truth...at least that I am aware of.

Please note, I am simply repeating what I have been told by others. I have no mechanical expertise to speak of.
