Default Clutch issuesin here

Well guys i installed anaussie clutch in my 2000 c5. Droveit for around 700 miles or so before i started to rip on her a little. The issues im having allof the sudden are. 1)can not get the car to go from 1-2 or 2-3 under WOT. 2) Also i just noticed this today, when the car is in 4th i can put the clutch to the floor rev the car to about 3,000-4,000RPM's and the car will surge, so i can assume that the clutch is not disengaging all the way right? 3) under WOT the clutch gets very very soft. I have blead the crap out of this system so im sure there is no air and i do not see any leaks. So whats next, did i get faulty hydrolics? Im somewhat at a loss here. i have left a message with Pete so im sure he will call me back. Any ideas?

Sounds like a hydrolic issue. I'm sure he'll get back to you. Their service is great. I have about 5k on my aussie clutch. It actuly alowes me to shift quicker than my stock clutch so i assume you would have a hydrolic problem. The ap hydrolics in these cars suck! but they should of bled themselves out by now. I had my car at the drag strip last weekend and no slipping what so ever. One last thaught, did you replace the pilot berring, or install it incorectly? If its not allowing it to spin freely it "could" possably cause a problem simmular to the clutch not fully dissengauging. but that's just a guess.

Hopefully you won't have to take it apart again. I know I wouldnt want to do it twice. I did it without a lift. not fun. Hopefully its a bleeding problem. Maby try having a shop or stealership use a pressure bleeder. It might help force out any trapped air. On the pilot berring, I'm not sure if its the flat side or not but I know its the seal side out. So if the flat side has the seal in it, your good. Good luck.

i pump the clutch up like lets say 6-10 times. Then i have a buddy crack the valve, then i slowly push the clutch to the floor, hold it there while he closes the valve and do again. over and over and over.... hehe im going crazy here.

that should work. I've found that if i submerge teh bleeder in the brake fluid and Get ALL the air out, it wont operate correctly and works like yours sounds to be.

I use a Mityvac on my LAPD remote bleeder. I put some lube (White syn lube) around the threads and nipple of the bleeder line before I slip on the vac hose to prevent any air from being sucked in. Pump it down to 28" and bleed it with out any help. Just be sure to keep the reseivoir full. I find this works great. I just hope you don't have some other problem.
