Default "Matched" injectors?

I am planning on replacing my stock injectors with 30 lb. SVO's. I noticed some shops sell "matched" sets for a premium ($100).
What (if any) is the advantage of buying a matched set versus regular?
Thanks!

They all "should" flow the same CC's of fuel each. Like within 2% of each other or what ever tolerance the shop specifies.

matched sets have been flow tested and their output measured. They are all within a certain tolerance of each other, which translates to a consistent fuel delivery for each cylinder.

It's really good for forced induction, since it's not a good thing to be running lean in one or a few cylinders. I had a matched set in my MR2 Turbo. When I bought the injectors, they came with the sheet showing the various flow results and the standard deviation between them.

Generally the flow on a given set of injectors is within 3%. Flow matched injectors are FLOW tested then MATCHED with other injectors that fall within 1% of each other.

Those are the facts, when and where you might need them, and whether they are worth it or not, is subjective.

Basically it's more money for a greater level of precision. In my book, if you aren't hurting for money, get 'em.

Good Luck!

Thanks everyone. I'm not planning to go forced induction, so it's probably not worth it to me.

I think $100 is cheap insurance on any motor that you plan on making
mods to. It seems like everyone pushes the tunes right to the edge and
having one lean cylinder out of eight costs pretty much the same as
having all 8 lean when it comes time to fix you motor due to a
detonation problem.
