Transmission Question
I am considering going from a 2.73 (2001 Coupe A4) to a 3.73 rear differential. Will this upgrade ruin my transmission? Should I go ahead and buy a better transmission with the gears? If so, does anybody recommend a certain transmission?

Same set-up I have, your going to love it. 
I have my stock trans in the car with a few hundred 1/4 passes down the track. All that I did was install a trans cooler. No problems at all. 
I'm sure it will go one of these days and I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

get a trani cooler, run it and when and if the trani breaks replace it with on of Rodney's. If you're doing the gears you might want to consider putting in a TC since this would be the best time, financially, to do it.
