Need Ideas for these concerns on our 99 FRC
(1) Where do I get an Owners Manual
(2) How do I reset Oil % Guage
(3) My drivers window does not work
(4) A/C is Not Cold
(5) Only have 1 Key
forum vendor can get you a manual...Ken Fitchner is a good choice
local dealer for another key
reset procedure...go into TRIP..scroll to oil life and hold reset or push gas pedall 3 times
window switch is bad
A/C...leak or possible radiator fins clogged with crap...get under there and look and hose it out real good...I recommend removing radiator shroud so you can clean between both pieces
One additional thing to try. The window issue is common that the regulators go south. But, many times they are just asleep.
With the back of your hand in a clenched fist, whack the door as hard as you can just below the pull handle. Seriously, I kid you not. I've done it on at least half a dozen Vettes and my Chevy Silverado. It should be in the owners manual where and how hard to whack it.
Don't be afraid of it. Hit it as hard as you can. You can even use a rubber mallett. Trust me! I did it to my 98 two years ago and it still works perfect.
Those guys covered it. The only other advice I can add is enjoy the ride, remember to wave, and keep looking for and giving great advice on the forum. Welcome
Thanx YelloYello
Think I met you last year at Fast Eddies Drive In or this year at Baker's in Milford
We drive the 63 SWC , Blue with 6 Tail Lights and the LKDSPLT Ontario Plates
If you haven't already, you might want to read the sticky about column lock problems. If you have an automatic 99, then you're not affected. But if you have a manual, you might want to install a CLB (column lock bypass) unless one is already on the car. The sticky has links to instructions on how to install one. Enjoy your new toy!

To pass the RIV in Canada ( Reg Imported Vehicle ) , the car has to have a GM Dealership do all Recall Notices .The car had 3 recalls of which 2 were already done .
The last was for a Column Lock problem so I assume this was it
By the Way > Thank You !!!

just a little FYI...might wanna still consider the CLB now that the recall is done...the GM fix has been known to fail
Good luck...glad to see the rest is coming together for you

My understanding is that on a 6 speed car, all the recall does is reprogram the computer to shut off the fuel pump in the event the column lock fails. So, without the CLB, you still run the risk of the column lock failing and leaving you stranded somewhere.
Thank you C5 Owners !!!!!
Collectively , there is a Wealth of knowledge out there
Tore the window apart and have it working except there is a broken pulley ( plastic crap ) and no one sells just the that piece( red plastic pulley worth probably $5. Any Suggestions
As always , the Cars are nice but the best classics are ( Corvette ) Friends
