Using stock sized (18x9.5) wheels in front...

Recently spoke with Tony Mamo at AFR about using the stock C5 wheels on the front of my '00 'vert. He thinks the wheels would be o.k., but the stock 275/40 tires may not. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have heard people taking the rear tires and putting them on the front and then upgrading the rear tires to a 18x10 or is that 10.5.

I am not sure the 275s would work though.

265 or 275 will work without any rubbing or other prblems.Jerry

I'm running 265/40/18's 0n 9.5" wheels. I've got a little more off set than OEM rims ( that's why I bought them ) and I have a little better than about 1/4 inch inside clearance with the wheel fully turned. With OEM offset your tire will stickout more but you'll have more inside clearance than I do so you should have no problem with the 275/40/18's..
