I had to change mine. You will need to remove your x-pipe and tunnel pannel. The biggest pain I had was removing the cable, if recall, i had to break the clips that held the cable to the car. I couldnt get a hand on them because of the torqe tube. Once it was removed, installation was a breeze. I dont have the part #, but if you go to any Chevy dealership, they can get it for ya.

It is just what you thought a b ! T ! H. You need to remove tunnel, exhaust, and interior tunnel covers to just get to the cable. you then need to disconnect and then reconnect the new part. It is not a notice repair. My was taken to the trans shop where a they completed the repair and completed a transmission service with a new filter for 300.00
