Rotor replacement questions...
So I want something that will look good and work at least as well as regular OEM products. Application is 99.9999 street. I might get on a track sometime, but not planning on it. So yeah, appearance is a big motivator in this, but I do want them to work when I need them to.
So, does anyone know of any practical differences between the Baer EradiSpeeds (1 piece) and the DecelaRotors?
Has anyone used the rotors from SP Performance (http://www.raceshopper.com/sp_rotors_plating.shtml)? They are offering a nickle plated rotor and hub, which I have never seen elsewhere. Other places offer zinc and cadmium plating, so this is a new one to me.
Of course I am needing pads as well. Are ceramics the way to go? Brake dust is supposed to be corrosive, so I don't really want much of that stuff on my chromed wheels, much less anywhere else on my Z. So what is the *best* choice in street pads for acceptable performance, minimal dust, and being rotor friendly as well? I don't want pads with claims of extremely long wear life if they take out the rotors in order to be able to make that claim.
Lastly, is there any brand name of rotor or pads that are a definite "stay the heck away from" category?
Thanks.
