Default z06 sway upgrade path

New to the forums and don't have a good feel for all the info I'm finding. I just ordered the Z06 shocks for my 98 from Fred Bean's and also want to get some Z06 sways. I track and autox the car as an explanation for why I'm doing this. I have the base suspension and I obiviously want it much firmer.

How much do I need to upgrade and what year Z06 sways are compatible with my 98? Are the plastic endlinks ok or should I spend more and swap for the metal ones? Will I need to get the sway bar bushings as well? Aaaaggggghhhhhh!!!

Thanks
Jim

about the cheapest and best bang for the $ mod you can do for your handeling is:
1.Z06 sways, endlinks, bushings (yes you have to have new bushings)
2. Zo6 shocks.
3. Zo6 springs.

I would buy the shocks, and the full set of sways with endlinks from FB, the springs can be picked up used on the fourmn for around $300.
Z51 springs are close to Z06 spec (the rear is a little softer).

you should be able to do all of this for around $1k. and the springs are the only hard part of the job.

the results are amazing.

Hi there,
I agree with MTO. Shocks, sways and then springs when you are ready. You will not notice any performance increase with the aluminum end links but they are much stronger and less hassle. You can only use the C5 Z06 bars, not 2006.

On our site, you can use part number c5z06bars for the kit with endlinks or c5z06barsNL and NL stands for no links. You can use either of those part numbers under Chevrolet make.

Thanks for the business,
Gene

Thanks for the info MT0 and Gene. A little knowledge (and a Visa card) is a dangerous thing...
