water on speakers

water on speakers
went to the grocery store today in the rain. yes i just washed my vette the yesterday. the CURSE continues. anyway i opened up the hatchback (have a 99 coupe) and all the water on the trunk went right off all over the rear speakers. i know this has probably happened to a great deal of us so my question is. has anybody had any problems with the speakers shortening out?

Which also does not work, when there is to much water, like from fresh rain.
