I cut mine off without removing anything other than the wheels. Took 10 mins per side.
I jacked the end of the spring up with a hydraulic spreader tool, high enough to get easy access to the bushing, and used a coarse drywall saw to cut the bushings off.
If you try this, just be very careful not to put your hand under the spring at any time, there's a tremendous amount of tension there, and you could be easily pinned if the jack were to slip or collapse.
I guess this means I have to take apart the suspension as shown.Any other options. What a pita for another 1/2".
I didn't want to take the suspension apart either. I've never been much of a mechanic and the job looked like quite a bit more than I wanted. I tried the method of cutting with everything in place, but it's so d@mn tight in there and not being able to really see it that good I knew that wasn't going to work. I decided the only way I was going to be able to cut 2/3 of the bushing was to drop the suspension. It really wasn't that hard, just took my time. The only problem I had was trying to get the A arm to drop. I finally put some silicone lubricant down around the stud and knocked the h@ll out of it with a short pc of 2x4. It fell right down them, but couldn't budge it before the lubricant. This is the link I used.https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=90&TopicID=1
