Alan,

Rick is absolutely correct on this. Many may advertise their dual springs are good to .650 or even .660 on doubles, it does not mean they are or will even be the first time they are compressed.

There only a few high dollar (Dual) springs that Rick & I know about that will meet those guidelines. Give him a call and have his machine shop test all of them after you buy them. Good springs are worth every penny.

On Synergy's stage III heads(up to stage V), the double springs alone are $600. I would reccomend these as another possibility.

I willing to bet my Ferrea .620's are .620's. MTI uses Ferrea's, in addition to Manley's, on their 2/24,000 warranty with their S1 Cam .612/.612 112 244/244 on their 427's.

Brent

P.S. Also, let us know how we can help.

I told them that since my car is a little modified it needs more fuel to run.
lol so then I reinspected the valvetrain and found one of the springs to be broken in three spots I actually removed a peice of spring with out using tools. so I bought the valvespring compressor and replaced my valvesprings.
by the time I did that i think the piston had already tooken to much stress and my car only ran a few days after that, then when I was driving a little aggressive on the freeway it blew up, I mean it just shut down .

when I opened everything up there was a huge hole in the cylinder wall and I pulled out a broken peice of connecting rod.
my engine looked fine from the outside but when I opened it up water, oil, and metal just poured out.
and to make it even worse one side of my ls6 head (where the #6 piston is) was destroyed.

so thats what happened.

thanks for the input guys

Adam

Adam,
I'm sorry to hear about your motor, I remember your car from Synergy I was there for the tuning ( It was Loud ) I thought the only problem you had at the time was the exhaust leaks?
I remember talking to you on the X-etreme run and you said the car was running real strong but your clutch was going out?

Good Luck on the re-build, your going with a "HUGE CAM"

thanks
I already got another shortblock I'm just waiting on my new heads and intake. I'm either goin with the same cam or the g5x4 but either way I gotta have a big cam because I love their sound and topend power.
I also already replaced the clutch.

so hopefully soon it will be up and running.

Adam
