Thinging of a self install on Corsa catbacks. Those that have done this, can it be done on a set of Rino Ramps? What problem will I have if any?
Thanks,
Installed my PRT's in the garage, had to get the rear end REALLY high off the floor though... Higher than ramps will allow. Take the Sway bar mounts off, but leave the end links on and it will swing out of the way, giving you a little bit more room. I got the rear high enough that the front end was nearly on the ground . Use chock blocks, stands, and be CAREFUL. I've been underneath a ton of vehicles for everything from oil changes to tranny swaps/engine swaps and having to lift the rear end that high had me a little worried.
I installed my corsa's with just rihno ramps. It's a peice of cake. Back the car up on them, remove bolts from midsection and nuts from rear hangers, cut the over the axle pipe. The easiest way I found to take the pipes out is to slide it toward the front of the car, the flanges on the pipe want to get hung up if you take the out toward the rear. Install your Corsa exhaust, check your gaskets (I was able to reuse mine) and that's it. If you cut the stock exhaust you don't need to drop your sway bars or remove anything else. This was my experience on a manual, I don't know about an automatic. It took me just 45 minutes to do mine. You will only need a couple of different socket sizes (all metric) and you will also need deep well sockets. Good luck!
