1-Do you guys know if anyone makes an adjustable clutch master cylinder for our cars?
2-I know of Mcleod but i only see listings for f-bodies everywhere i look. Are they a direct fit onto the C5 also?
I'm looking to upgrade to a C6 Z06 clutch system, and i'd like to take care of all loose ends in the process which means i will be doing the drill mod also.
I havent found any writeups on the drill mod on a C5 except one, and they seemed to have only drilled out one of three restrictions(going into the slave cylinder).
3-Has anyone drilled out all 3 restrictions in our clutch hydraulic system?
4-Is it possible to use the C6 Z06 master cylinder in the C5 Z06 and will this improve anything?
5-Or should i just do the drill mod and stick with the stock clutch hydraulics?(i'll put in a new slave while i'm in there)
I don't know the differences of the C6 system, can't help you there. I did replace my 2000's failing clutch with a Spec II/Fidanza aluminum flywheel and put in 2002 Z06 hydraulics at the same time. I drilled out all three restrictors also. Did the drill mod work? Well, after three years (at this power level) my clutch still works fine. Clamps hard, no chatter, no pedal stuck to the floor. If you use the stock hydraulics, do the drill mod. If you use an aftermarket master and line it should eliminate two of the three restrictors, leaving the one at the input to the slave to do.
