Default Squishy Clutch Pedal??

Hi guys,

Hoping you could answer a question regarding my recently purchased 01.

I have noticed that the clutch pedal is somewhat squishy, mainly that the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the pedal can be easily depressed, then the remaining pedal travel has some resistance.

Is it common for the pedal to have little to no resistance for the first 1/4 - 1/3 of travel?

I am assuming that I may need to bleed the system (??). Is this complicated?

Also, did the '01 models have the "better" slave cylinder?

Thanks!

Could be an easy fix. Are you low on fluid?

I have the same question, I will check fluid color later. I know the level is good though. TIA

Fluid level is OK and the fluid is not brown.

Any procedures on how the bleeding process should be done?
