So here's the deal, I'm trying to come up with a better solution for quieting my setup right now. The car has LGM LTs back to SLP 3inch cats, then to an Xover pipe (3inch) back to some Borla Stingers that are 2.75 inch inlets, I think. Anyway, I'm trying to quiet this beast down just a tadd and I hope I can just swap out the mufflers... Anyone have comments about their non-stock setups? My motor is a heads cam package making 375HP to the wheels...
Same problem I had, constant rumble in my head Anyway I swapped the Borlas for the ZO6 factory and boy what a difference. No more headache when I drive.
Go with a set of Z06 Ti mufflers. I've got a friend with LG LT Pros, hi-flow cats, and with his Z06 mufflers it sounded as sweet as could be. Then he decided it wasn't "manly" enough, so he went with stingers. Now it's just LOUD, but it's lost the sound of the Z06 mufflers. Hard to describe, kinda like a high-pitched "singing"; all I know is I think the Z06 mufflers create some of the best sounds of any C5 exhausts I've ever heard.
The sound wasn't bad before I did the new motor. Now it is much louder, and the forged pistons add to the "music"!
We just put a Magnaflow system on my little brother's 02 Camaro and it was louder than stock, but not overbearing when you get on it. Not heard a set on a vette yet though...
I'll have to see if I can snag a set of Ti mufflers... Thanks guys!
Mike
I have a set of stock Titanium Z06 mufflers for sale. They are in perfect condition and only have 2500 miles on them. I took them off when I purchased my Bullets. Tell me if your interested. Thanks.

I'm hoping to get a set for my baby this week!
HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
I had Kooks/high flow cat/and Corsa touring cats. Way too loud for my ear. Now I changed the Corsa touring for Z06 Ti mufflers and the idle is like stock but at WOT very mean sounding.
I had to shelve the Borlas also after going H/C. Just too loud for daily driving. I've got the Z06 TI's now, but they're a little too quiet for me! Pretty good at full throttle, but too quiet at idle and driving around.
Wish I could find something in the middle.
I'm going to try cutouts for those times I want some more noise...
FYI, I installed mine last night, and it's just what I was hoping for. Just a bit louder than stock (remember my entire exhaust system is stock except for the mufflers), will be a great building block when I get LG long tubes next year.
But, most important to me, they are LIGHT. I didn't actually weigh them, but holding one of each they should be no more than half the weight of the stockers. And, made of Ti, they ought to last me a decent amount of time.
Please let us know how they work with your system.

I installed these back in early January and installed them along with a Bassani Xpipe. Afterwards, I went to a Dyno Day at Carolina Auto Masters. I had to get Jeff to clean up the fuel maps, but when complete, the car picked up MORE hp since the last time I was on his dyno in November of last year... 11HP and 10 #ft. of torque... These Ti mufflers might require a retune, but will make more power than the Stingers I had.
And the sound, as everyone commented above, is SO MUCH BETTER balanced!
