Thinking about putting one on m 99 coupe.
Like the design, cost is about the same as other types.
I have the GHL bullet system and love them.
But do have a little drone at that 1500 RPM area.
Take a look at the Bassani as well. That's the one I have and there is NO popping at all with my Corsa Indy's.
The Bassani, IMHO has one of the better "X" sections that causes scavenging from side to side. Their x is custom made, not just the center section of the two pipes cut off and welded back together. Bassini is high quality stuff too....very well made and fit perfectly when installed.......at least take a look at them.......
Used to have one my car with the GHL's prior to my Kooks install. It definitely helped with the popping but didn't get rid of it...maybe helped by 20% or so. I don't recall what change it made to the sound/tone but it wasn't huge. I bought it to help with the popping.
I run the Magnaflow, but I think the Bassani is very similar.
Installation is a little easier if you cut off the stock pipe with a chain type cutter instead of a sawsall. The cutter leaves a slightly beveled edge on the pipe that aids in the install.
Mine works great and love the sound with my stingers. Best part was that it got rid of that darn exhaust jingle. that drove me nuts. Now i have nothin but clean sounding exhaust, install was no prob.
