Reprogram rev limiter, it will shut off fuel at preset RPM.
I had to bring my vette in for a waranty repair. The service coordinator called me to tell me the car wouldn't rev over 1200rpms, and would I like them to look into it?
I told him no thanks, I'll put the right program in when I pick it up

the scenario is that my favorite neice graduates next summer and I am going to let her drive the vette to the prom. I trust her but I know Sh*t happens. If there is a quick and dirty way of limiting the spped to say, 70 MPH, and she knew it wouldn't go fast, ANY temptation would be limited
If you trust her, let her drive the car. I would. If you feel the need to cripple the car, then you apparently don't fully trust her and it's your choice how to proceed

Buy her her own Vette - you can pick up a '97 for $14k now. That's the nice and stress free way.
