Default Help with check engine codes P0141 & P0161

I sold my 2000 FRC to a friend and the car was cool for about 5000 miles no problems. He drives pretty hard and about 2 weeks ago the check engine light came on and we pulled codes P0141 and P0161

Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2

I cleared them and they were gone for about 150 miles and then came back on. We changed the front 02 sensors thinking that was the problem but same thing happened, light came back on after about 150 miles. Can any one tell me what the codes are referring to or even better what to do to fix it? All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Ben

Well you changed the wrong sensors
Bank 1 is drivers side
Bank 2 is passengers side
sensor 2 is the rear sensors.
sensor 1 is the front sensors
Your code is sensor 2 which are the rear 02 sensors

I had to install a dual O2 simulator after installing a DynaTech Super Max full header exhuast system. You can get one from Baker Electronix for $25 either direct on line or through ebay. See thread on 12/15 if you want to go this way, as I posted installation instructions. Or Email me >> fatrat39@peoplepc.com
With the simulator installed no more CEL.

If you have Tunercat or LS1 Edit, I believe you can turn these off in the computer. I plan on doing this soon.

either tune or O2 Sims. Should fix him right up. And still pass inspection in most states
