50 degrees outside and I go to 220 at a stop light. Start moving it hits 230 then back down to 190? Am I just getting paranoid in my old age? is this typical?
Owned this baby since new and never noticed this before last week. 80k, I've changed the coolant, blown out the 1/2 acre of dirt in the radiator. Coolant level ok and I still get that smell, could it be a hose collapsing?

If it's still stock with the factory programming then thats normal, the first cooling fan is programmed to come on at 225 degrees so watching your coolant go 1 notch above where the fans come on would not worry me but if they were consistently above 240 then I'd start to look for problems.
