Driving today car started missfiring?
I was driving this morning and my 01 Z06 started missfiring bad. Just out of the blue I had just opened (WOT) it up about 10 min. earlier. I hooked a GM Tech II up to it and ran a diagnostic and it said my #2 and #7 were miss firing? Could it be injectors going out or a vacuum leak. Or maybe coils?

Hello,
Step 1 swap the bad cylider wires to good cylinders to see if the problem follows the wires.
If Not>
Step 2 swap the coils to known good cylinders to see if the problem follows.
If Not>
Step 3 swap spark plugs to known good cylinders to see if the problem follows.
If Not>
Step 4 swap the injectors to known good cylinders to see if the problem follows.
If not>
Step 5 Did you over REV it during a down shift? Mechanical issue (Valves or rings) Perform compression test.

Thanks, 69 I'll start going through everything tomorrow. I pray to god it ain't #5 a valve or a spring. I drive it I don't baby it but I don't hit rev limiters or do any ab-normal down shifting.
