Not a "huge" difference but very noticable if your "in tune" with your vehicle. Definately worth the coin (and a good looking piece as well). The stock C6 plate (assuming it would fit??), is not nearly as beefy and wouldn't be worth the money or trouble.
For the guys that want even more, they now offer a slightly heavier .375 version, but most of the gains will be had with the lighter, slightly less expensive .250 model
I just ordered the .134 stainless ceramic coated plate. According to their tests, it will lower the temperature inside the center counsole from 114 to 85. That is the main reason I ordered mine. It get really hot inside during track sessions. I think for a 50k car the difference between 60 and 199 is quite insignificant considering what it does. The aluminum plate un coated will not reduce the temp inside the console. the ceramic is the savior. Besides it looks really cool especially if you roll the car and people see it all nice an shiny!!
