I just noticed that the TPIS headers EGR location on the passenger side is next to the last primary (on the header) yet on the stock manifolds it's on the second cylinder...
The EGR hose is metal so It's not flexible...Anyone else have this issue and how did you deal with it?
Oh and I know some of you just capped off the EGR on the header and didn't use it but, I don't want to set off any codes since I'm not going to tune it right away ( I just don't want to have any Check Engine Light going off in my face until I tune it so I just want to install the EGR for now).
It's not an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) tube but an AIR (Air Induction Reaction) or something like that tube. If you had EGR it would carry exhaust gas to the intake manifold. I don't think C5's had EGR, but some F bodys might have. The AIR system has an electric air pump that puts air into the exhaust manifolds on start up to help "light off" the catalytic converters. If you don't connect the AIR tubes up, you'll probably set a fault code and the "check engine" light. Header manufacturers tried to follow the changes in position of the AIR tubes from year to year, but sometimes the various header models get mixed up.
Looks like you've got a set for '97-'00 cars. Your vendor can swap for the '01+ version. You could also buy the '97-'00 AIR pipe but switching involves removing the intake manifold.
