I have a 98 C5. My headlights come on when I turn them on, but they won't raise. This has happended before and the dealer said it was an adjustment. Is it the mult-functional switch on the steering wheel column? Previlously, I could play with them then they would raise. They where working fine. I drove the car and let them stay up while driving on a trip to Las Vegas from Phoenix. When I arrived in town I stopped at a store. When I came out I drove off and tried to turn on the headlights. They wouldn't raise. I was on the strip at dusk then all of the sudden they wouldn't come up! Now they won't raise at all. What's up with this?
stripped gears... common problem... replace em with metal ones.
Got mine from Mid America but there are other vendors out there. I believe you can still raise the lights manually. Gently pull up on the light as you turn the **** located on each of the light assemblies. Good luck.
